What's Happening in China?

In the past, it was very common to not give migrate workers and the uneducated people their human rights when they came to different works, around in Asia. In China, factories would be locked not allowing employees to leave the factory at all. They lived and worked in the same building. They were all underpaid and had to work countless hours per day until it gradually became unhealthy and employees began falling sick. Even thou the workers were sick when they woke up one morning, it meant a normal work though out the day Unfortunately this is still happening today in China, but for most workers their life quality has improved, not a tremendous amount but rather a difference that shows. What made this difference were the companies that founded a group called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Almost all the foreign companies who put up factories along the east coast gives their workers their human rights. They are paid well compared to local factories, they get enough sleep every night, and they get to leave the factory at the end of the day. What has made this possible is that the company who they work for has applied Corporate Social Responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility prevent a lot of things a company may do. For example none of the workers who work for the company may take bribes or bribe people. Also the workers can not be forced to do something.
Last month there were a lot of talking in the news about the Chinese company Foxconn not giving their factory workers their human rights, and also having underaged people working there. What made this such a big thing was that Foxconn is Apple Inc.'s biggest producer of iPhones, iPads and MacBook Airs as well as Pros. Apple responded with arranging ABC news to get inside and film Foxconn in China, however they were only allowed in for a specific time and the date was pre decided. As we can see in the video bellow the factory look very nice and there are no major medical treatment needed for the workers. In the end however they talk about how many workers who committed suicide. The manager didn't want to say why he thought they took their life but if I would guess it was because their living standard were horrible.

A few days after the interview was done new information begun to circle the internet. This time it said that Foxconn managers had taken the underaged workers out of the factory for the day while ABC news were there filming. There has also been leaked information saying that all the workers got 3 breaks during the day instead of only 1. If this is true or not I can not say but if it is, Foxconn knows that they are doing illegal activities.
